Sealing tool, especially for a tube bag packaging machine has heatable jaws (30) for producing a sealing seam in a flexible sealable packaging material. Each jaw comprises a housing (31) with a recess (32) for a series of sealing segments (33) which are sprung on the bottom (36) of the recess. The sealing segments are covered on their ends away from the bottom with a heat conducting membrane (48) that is tensioned on the housing of the sealing jaw and forms a sealing surface of the jaw.
