The circular saw blade has different tooth heights. The radial spacing (A) between the cutting teeth (2) and the auxiliary teeth (3) is such that if the cutting tooth falls out, the auxiliary tooth provides roughly the same chipping power at maximum feed rate and the same cutting width as the tooth which has fallen out.
