A member for producing castings which is prepared by forming a base paper for a paper-jointing tube into a tubular shape and comprises an organic fiber, an inorganic fiber, and a binder. The base paper for a paper jointing tube is preferably formed into a tubular shape through winding. The contents of the organic fiber, the inorganic fiber and the binder are preferably 10 to 70 parts by weight, 1 to 80 parts by weight and 10 to 85 parts by weight, respectively. The organic fiber is preferably a pulp fiber. |
