<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for ink jet recording which makes the ozone resistance of a formed image excellent over a long period and enables attainment of an image of high gloss and high density, and a manufacturing method thereof wherein the viscosity of a coating solution for an ink receiving layer is low and the dispersion stability thereof is high and which is excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the medium for ink jet recording which has the ink receiving layer on a base, the ink receiving layer contains a water-soluble resin and contains at least one or more kinds of organic cationic polymers of which the inorganic/organic properties ratio (I/O value) in an organic conceptual diagram is below 2.8 and at least one or more kinds of organic cationic polymers of which the above ratio is 2.8 or above. In this medium for ink jet recording and the manufacturing method thereof, it is preferable that the ink receiving layer further contains particulates and that the mass content ratio between the organic cationic polymer of which the inorganic/organic properties ratio (I/O value) is below 2.8 and the organic cationic polymer of which the ratio is 2.8 or above is 1:5 to 40:1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
