<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable SDH transmission apparatus of different machine types to coexist on an SDH network. <P>SOLUTION: An SOH processing section 130 determines the situation of using D, F and reserved bytes and if the D, F and reserved bytes are used in an SDH transmission apparatus of a different machine type, a payload adding section 170 uses a payload to transmit inter-apparatus data but if the D, F and reservation bytes are not used in the SDH transmission apparatus of the different machine type, an SOH adding section 180 uses the D, F and reservation bytes to transmit the inter-apparatus data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
