PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a rechargeable battery with respect to an information processor controlling charge/discharge of a battery, a control method, a program, and a recording medium.

SOLUTION: An information processor 10 which is driven by an AC power source or a rechargeable battery is provided with; a charge indication part which starts charge of the battery by the AC power source when driving the information processor by the AC power source, on condition that the residual capacity of the battery is smaller than a preliminarily determined charge start reference residual capacity; a drive history information storage part 20 for storing drive history information wherein information showing which of the AC power source and the battery the information processor has been driven by in the past is recorded per time zone; and a charge start reference setting part which sets the charge start reference residual capacity on the basis of drive history information.
