PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform dehumidification and drying of a bathroom or the like by effectively using an exhaust heat by heat exchange in an outdoor unit. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 3 comprises a first heat exchanger 3a and a second heat exchanger 3b. When the first heat exchanger 3a is used as a condenser for condensing a refrigerant, the second heat exchanger 3b can be switched to an evaporator for evaporating the refrigerant. The refrigerant compressed by a compressor 7 is condensed, when passed through the first heat exchanger 3a, to release heat. Therafter the refrigerant is expanded by an expansion valve 9, evaporated in the second heat exchanger 3b to perform cooling, and returned to the compressor 7 through a bypass pipe 13 without being passed through the heat exchanger 2a of an indoor unit 2. The air heated by the first heat exchanger 3a is mixed with the air cooled by the second heat exchanger 3b to produce dehumidified and dried air. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
