PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively discharge convection bubbles on a filter member into an ink supplying needle on a capping means side. SOLUTION: An ink channel is formed toward an ink supplying opening from an ink storing chamber in the ink cartridge, where a channel controlling means is placed to open and close the ink channel receiving the driving force of an actuator in the ink channel, negative pressure is stored in an internal space of a capping means in the state of the closed channel controlling means and the bubbles can be discharged to the capping means effectively by opening the channel controlling means. Because the channel controlling means is placed in the side of the ink cartridge, the channel controlling means is exchanged whenever the ink cartridge is exchanged, thus improving the reliability of recovery operation of printing function by cleaning movement executed by saving the negative pressure.
