PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of nuisance call such as a one-ring fraud by imposing charging onto an opposite party making the nuisance call called the one-ring fraud thereby increasing the burden on the opposite party. SOLUTION: The telephone set with the automatic answering function, which has a telephone directory function such as a memory dial 141 and a display function for incoming history, comprises a control means that controls the telephone set to receive an incoming call and rings a call tone at the arrival of the incoming call (132) with a telephone number not registered in the memory dial in the case of a speech (131) adopting the caller number notice system wherein a telephone number of a caller is informed and delivers (133) a message to the caller about that the telephone set receives the incoming call and is now calling the called party.
