PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designating a data processor for easily performing function correction related with data transmission/reception with a bus at the time of evaluating system performance. SOLUTION: This method for designing a data processor having a plurality of circuit modules connected to a bus is configured to model functions obtained by the circuit modules, and to evaluate this by using API functions(DataRead, DataWrite) for descriptions for performing data transmission/reception to the bus in program descriptions for evaluation to model the functions. In this case, the API functions are provided with variables made common by a plurality of types of bus specifications. The API functions are made common by the plurality of types of bus specifications so that even when the bus of the connection destination of the circuit module for obtaing the modeled functions is changed, or even when the functions are obtained by software or hardware, it is not necessary to perform the correction/change of the program description for evaluation.
