SMOOTH MUSCLE PERISTALSIS SUPPRESSING PREPARATION CONTAINING L-MENTHOL AND HAVING LOW-TEMPERATURE STABILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digestive tract peristalsis suppressing preparation containing L-menthol, keeping stable emulsion state for a long period, having high transparency or optical transmittance of L-menthol and free from precipitation of L-menthol even by storing at a low temperature in contrast with conventional smooth muscle peristalsis suppressing preparation or digestive tract peristalsis suppressing preparation containing L-menthol, produced by emulsifying L-menthol with a surfactant together with an oil-and-fat and solving the problem of the precipitation of L-menthol with time in cold state in spite of the safe preservability for a long period at room temperature. SOLUTION: The preparation free from the precipitation of L-menthol for a long period even at a low temperature to keep high transparency can be produced by adding benzoic acid to a smooth muscle peristalsis suppressing preparation or digestive tract peristalsis suppressing preparation containing relatively transparent L-menthol having an average particle diameter of≤100 nm.
