PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable image without hindering the super-sensitivity even when a continuous noise from outside exists. SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus is equipped with a detectors array consisting of a two-dimensional disposition of the detectors, reading means (62, 901, 92, 100 and 108) which read out signals form the above detectors making a line in the above detectors array as a unit and store the same in a storing section, a detection means of an electromagnetic field noise from outside, a phase detecting means for the above detected noise, and a controlling means which adjusts from the detected phase a timing of sample holding of the reading line data making the line as the unit, so that the stable image is provided even when the noise from the outside exists.
