PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein the installation construction of a camera is required, and time and construction expenses are required for installing a monitoring camera conventionally, and beauty is spoiled in a conventional building. SOLUTION: The camera device uses a power supply for the camera device and that of a fluorescent lamp in combination. Further, the device comprises: an imaging section; a signal processor for processing a video signal imaged by the imaging section; a transmitter for transmitting a signal processed by the signal processor; and a power supply section for feeding power to the imaging section, the signal processor, and the transmitter. The fluorescent lamp comprises an arc tube having first and second filaments, and a transformer for supplying power to the filament.
