The assembly and maintenance platform (24) has a support construction which can be disassembled. This is brought to a tube conduit of the turbine through an entry opening (22) and can be assembled within a manifold or bend in the tube e.g. a mixing housing (20) or within a flame tube (16) of the gas turbine. Preferably, the platform surface is collapsible. Independent claims also cover a gas turbine containing such a platform.
