The line winder consists of a wire holder (1) on which a line (5) is wound and can be locked or stopped once a required length has been unwound from it. The holder is made from bent round-section metal wire (2), shaped for easy suspension above a plant, and can have a line stop in the form of a strip of adhesive paper or clamp that prevents more than a set length of line (6) from being unwound. Alternatively, the line can be stopped by a twist (7) taken round part of the holder.
