The procedure for analyzing the function of a wire cloth tensioner in which the cloth passes over a roller that forms part of a paper-making machine and is tensioned by moving the roller, using a force meter connected to the cloth tensioner, with the measured value compared with a regulating value of the tensioner's drive so that the latter's functioning can be analyses, and a supple traction element passing round the roller and following the actual displacement of the cloth. The force meter is installed in the traction element and its values are measured for different regulating values of the tensioner drive both when the cloth is tensioned and relaxed so that the functioning of the tensioner can be analyzed. |
