Testing method for ceramics against thermal fatigue

For the testing is prepared test pattern from structural ceramics in the disc form. In the centre of the one face side is a notch initiated by Vickers' or Koop's identor. In the indent cornets come into existence the cracks. The test pattern is subjected to thermal heating in periodic cycle on the mating face to the indent face whereby face with indent is cooling down by coolant. The heat stress is made by means of cyclic heated up and cooling embossing equipment. The additional mechanical flexural load of the pattern is possible to produce by modification of the embossing equipment diameter. The resistance of the structural ceramics is advised according to length increase in advance initialise cracks which are invocation of the specific rate cycles. The second possibility of the resistant is defined by the rate cycles which leads to the creation of crack with the depth which is the same as a pattern size what is shown by water infiltration through the pattern.
