The device has a spring (3) between a push button (2) and a piston (4). A push button position indexing unit has two magnets (5, 6) arranged to displace the button between initial and final positions. The spring is compressed, the magnets are in contact, and the piston moves apart the magnets without additional spring compression, during the button displacement. The displacement of the button or magnets, changes state of a unit. The magnets are in contact when the button is in the initial position and are separated when the button is in the final position.
