The display consists of an anode electrode (204) formed at the inner surface of a substrate (200), with the side- walls (206) spaced apart from each other at the boundary of the pixel region (P) defined by the substrates (100,200) that are electrically connected by a connection electrode (124). A cathode electrode (210) is arranged on an electroluminescent layer (208) formed on the electrode (204). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method of fabricating organic electroluminescent display; (2) substrate for organic electroluminescent display; and (3) method of fabricating substrate for organic electroluminescent display.
