PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to read out defective pixel information at high speed, and correct a defective pixel considering two or more factors (imaging device temperature, effective exposure time, effective sensitivity). SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an imaging element which forms a desired object image and outputs the image signal according to the image, a temperature detection means for detecting temperature concerning the above imaging device, a defective pixel information holding means to hold defective pixel information beforehand, and a correction means which reads out detective pixel information from the defective pixel information holding means, and carries out correction processing for a defective pixel corresponding to temperature range information decided from detection result of the temperature detection means and defective pixel position information.
