PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method capable of easily converting colors corresponding to the state of a device that momentarily varies and hence continuously outputting an image output from the device with a desired color. SOLUTION: The patch data of a plurality of kinds of multiple-color patch data expressed in input color space are output to an output device as those expressed in the output color space as they are (502), and a color value in the absolute color space (L*a*b*) of each output patch is measured (503). Contrarily, on the basis of an LUT for indicating CMYK→L*a*b*, the patch data are converted to the absolute color space each and each color value is obtained as a reference value (508). After that, on the basis of a distance to the reference value corresponding to a colorimetry result in the absolute color space, the LUT for indicating L*a*b*→CMYK is corrected (510).
