PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of suppressing the stripping of adhesive and the occurrence of air bubbles with regard to the optical connector having such a configuration that optical fibers are held between a connector main body and a cover plate. SOLUTION: The optical connector 10 is constituted as follow. The top end part 15a of the optical fibers 15 is fixed to a connector main body 11, the end surface 15b of the optical fibers 15 is arranged oppositely to a reflective surface 11d for forming an optical path optically connecting the end surface 15b and optical input and output ends via a gap; in a space 11c containing the gap between the reflective surface 11d and the end surface 15b, the adhesive 14 is partially or wholly filled and the space 11c is covered with a cover plate 12 arranged in contact with the connector main body 11; an adhesive reservoir means 16 which is communicated from the space 11c containing the gap between the reflective surface 11d and the end surface 15b of the optical fibers 15 and is opened on a spot of avoiding the cover plate 12 is disposed; the adhesive 14 reaches the adhesive reservoir means 16 and is exposed to outside air.
