PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send a train absolute stop command from a beacon to a ground traffic signal when Q value of the beacon decreases to cause abnormality in a normal resonance circuit. SOLUTION: The beacon comprises the normal resonance circuits 2 and 3, a self-diagnosis circuit 4, and a resonance circuit 20 for emergency. The normal resonance circuits are a first resonance circuit 2 that resonates with 123 kHz and is interlocked with stop indication of the ground traffic signal, and a second resonance circuit 3 that resonates with 103 kHz and is interlocked with advance indication of the ground traffic signal. The self-diagnosis circuit 4 detects a failure of the normal resonance circuits of the ground piece, outputs a signal, operates the resonance circuit for emergency, and opens the normal resonance circuits. The resonance circuit 20 for emergency receives the command from the self-diagnosis circuit 4, and sends the train absolute stop command to the traffic signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
