PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device capable of expanding contents of a dialogue to a subject important at that time. SOLUTION: The information providing device receives an input of a user from a request input section 101, an input analyzing section 104 analyzes the inputted request, a dialogue control section 106 determines a suitable behavior of a device depending on a situation in response to the request of the user, a response generating section 117 generates a specific response, and a response output section 119 outputs it to the user. An information managing section 107 performs the retrieval of required information responsive to the user request and the notice of important information for the dialogue control section 106, and a subject managing section 109 determines a scenario of a dialogue with the user based on user's personal information and information about travel.
