PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point-to-point type radio access band control method in which bands usable for transmitting user data can be increased compared to conventional methods. SOLUTION: There is provided a band control method for performing point-to-point communication that permits mutual communication between two radio stations to control the band of a radio communication system that controls transmission between radio zones by slot defined as a reference of communication time. In the band control method, the number B of reference slots common to all radio stations is assigned and each radio station detects, as the number R of the received slots, the number of slots that has received signals continuously from the other party radio station. Then, each radio station obtains difference between the numbers B of the reference slots and R as the number A1 of its own station's transmission assigned slots. Further, each radio station compares the number Q of its own station's transmission desiring slots and A1 with each other and based on the comparison result determines the number S1 of the slots that its own station transmits continuously.
