PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the specific part of various mechanisms relating to printing of an ink-jet head, paper feeding mechanism, etc. from locally degrading, in the case of printing a paper whose width is narrower than maximum printable width. SOLUTION: The ink-jet printer is provided with the paper feeding mechanism capable of selectively feeding the paper Pa, whose width is narrower than the maximum printable width Wmax of the ink-jet head 1, from two feeding trays 111, 112 corresponding to two printing positions P1, P2, respectively, which are shifted each other in the width direction of the paper Pa; and a paper-feeding position switching part in which the paper-feeding tray performing the feeding of the paper Pa among two paper trays 111, 112 is switched, based on the printing frequency at each of the two printing positions P1, P2, at the time of printing the paper Pa with narrower width.
