The valve has a conduit system, and a seat (2) and a closure unit (7) are provided at the conduit system. The closure unit is provided for partial closing and opening of the conduit system. A servo equipment is provided for adjusting the closure unit, where the closure unit closing the conduit system in an inactivated condition of the servo unit is arranged on the inflow side of the seat. An independent claim is also included for an application of the seat valve for flow control of a common rail high pressure pump.
