Method for measuring the leak-tightness of closed containers, e.g. the housings of mobile data capture units, clocks or watches, in which the containers are acted on on the outside with an over-pressure and the resultant deformation detected. An independent claim is made for a device for measuring the leak-tightness of a closed container, comprising a measurement unit for measuring the deformation of a test-piece which is held within a pressurizing chamber.
