In a process to separate a C2+ or a C3+ fraction from a hydrocarbon-rich gas fraction, the fraction (c, 22) is cooled and passed through a twister reactor (X, X') in which separation takes place. Prior to entry into the twister reactor the hydrocarbon fraction (b, 22) is subject to phase separation (D, D') and only the gaseous product surrendered to the twister. The hydrocarbon fraction (a, 20) is cooled by a flow of gas or liquid coolant (3, 27). The process for the separation of C2+ and/or C3+ is integrated within a process to liquefy natural gas.
|
