The invention discloses the use of cystine and/or cysteine for the preparati on of oral medicinal products for the prevention and treatment of oxidative stress resulting from haemodialysis treatment in patients suffering from chronic kidney failure as well as for the treatment and prevention of acute or chronic kidney diseases and of End-Stage Renal-Disease.
