<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract the contour shapes of the natural features on the earth in a map figure not only from aerial orthophotograph images but also from monovisual aerial photograph images photographed in and at different photographing positions, angles and scales. <P>SOLUTION: The contour shape extractor for extracting the contour shape of the natural feature on the earth in the map figure from the aerial photograph image has a parameter extraction section for extracting the parameter for aligning the map figure created based on the previous aerial photograph image and the new aerial photograph image by collating the previously photographed aerial photograph image and the newly photographed aerial photograph image, a geometric conversion section for subjecting the map figure to geometric conversion by using the extracted parameter, an image region extraction section for extracting the image region corresponding to the natural feature on the earth of the map figure in the new aerial photograph image, and a contour shape extraction section for extracting the contour shape from the image region of the extracted natural feature on the earth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
