PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle control device preventing increase of damages of a fault position due to energy stored in a regenerative power storing device in generating shortage at a DC input circuit due to faults of a power conversion device required for traveling. SOLUTION: A current cut-off device 7 is provided between the power conversion device 4 in which the DC power is supplied from a main power source 1 to control a traveling motor 5 (a motor for driving a vehicle), and an electric double layer capacitor 8 for temporarily storing the generative power generated by the power conversion device 4 when a vehicle affects a regenerative brake. When the power conversion device 4 is broken, the current cut-off device 7 is opened, faulty current from the electric double layer capacitor 8 to the power conversion device 4 is cut off, thus preventing increase of damages of the power conversion device 4.
