PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical detecting circuit capable of expanding an optical detection dynamic range without making the SN of an optical detection signal and height data of a sample dark part worse and acquiring image data of good quality even if a sample has a large luminance difference, and a laser microscope equipped with the optical detecting circuit. SOLUTION: The optical detecting circuit is equipped with an optical detecting means of amplifying and detecting an optical signal from the sample, a 1st amplifying means of amplifying the output signal from the optical detecting means with a prescribed amplification factor, an offset means of giving an offset to the output signal from the optical detecting means, a 2nd amplifying means of amplifying the output signal from the offset means with an amplification factor smaller than the amplification factor of the 1st amplifying means, a rectifying means of rectifying the output signal from the 2nd amplifying means, and an adding means of adding the output signal from the 1st amplifying means and the output signal from the rectifying means together.
