PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CMOS image sensor that is employed in a video camera capable of shooting the 3D color image of an object and is mainly characterized by a single chip for easily obtaining the 2D color image and depth value of the object. SOLUTION: For example, a depth information acquisition pixel 13 placed on a semiconductor substrate independent of the RGB image acquisition pixel is formed in a way that the first read transistor 13a and the first storage transistor 13c for transferring and storing charges (outside light components) when LED does not emit light and the second photo diode read transistor 13b and the second storage transistor 13d for transferring and storing charges (LED components and outside light components) when LED emits light are connected to one photodiode PD2 in parallel.
