PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refreshing system of a storage device capable of improving its performance by preventing extra current consumption accompanying an unnecessary refreshing operation and an extra refreshing operation request. SOLUTION: In the storage device using a dynamic type memory element for storing binary information and losing stored contents when a refreshing operation is not executed within a certain time, a writing or reading operation request for a refresh address within a refreshing period is detected. When the writing or reading operation request for the refresh address within the refreshing period is detected, a timing generator 3 for generating various timings necessary for an internal operation is controlled to suppress the refreshing operation for the refresh address within the refreshing period.
