PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it results in taking a long time to perform I/O data update processing since it is necessary to update all I/O data, regardless of whether I/O data have been updated, and that a scan time ends up long. SOLUTION: This programmable controller is provided with a counter which is initialized by 0 for each IO channel, 1 is added to the counter when a program block is started, and 1 is subtracted from the counter, when the program block is stopped. In IO data update processing, the IO data are updated, only when the value of the counter is not 0. Since updating of the IO data, whose update processing is not executed, is not carried out, processing time can be shortened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
