PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus shared between a plurality of users by use of external storage media and capable of surely protecting privacy of each sharing user and selectively using the external storage media different in usage. SOLUTION: A control part 170 creates a personal medium to be used only for storing secured personal use information by storing predetermined information in a memory card 141 attached into a slot. The control part 170 determines whether the memory card attached into the slot is the personal storage medium or not, and when it is determined that the memory card is the personal medium, indication notifying that the memory card 141 attached into the slot is the personal medium is displayed for the user on a display screen of an LCD 101.
