PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an article alignment device capable of aligning articles, which are aligned in a close-contact condition at wide intervals, and capable of accommodate alignment at irregular pitches instead of equal intervals. SOLUTION: This article alignment device including a linear state guide and a plurality of a mounting bases which has an upper surface to be served as an article mounting face and moved along the guide so as to be freely brought closer or separated away from each other, is provided with: biasing devices for biasing the mounting bases in the direction in which adjacent mounting bases are parted; width restricting stoppers for restricting the intervals of the mounting bases; and moving devices for moving the mounting bases at one end along the guide, between the respective mounting bases. Or this article alignment device including a linear state guide and a plurality of a mounting bases which has an upper surface to be served as an article mounting face and moved along the guide so as to be freely brought closer or separated away from each other, is provided with elongating and contracting driving devices for moving the adjacent mounting bases closer or separated away, to the respective mounting bases.
