PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping board transmitting device capable of transmitting the turning force to a manual lever for a manual switch which is installed in a pit wall surface of an elevator to prohibit the operation of the elevator by the turn of the manual lever. SOLUTION: The stepping board transmitting device 10 is disposed on a pit floor surface on which a worker S passes. When the worker S steps on a stepping board 14 held in a vertically movable manner, an operation lever 20 is turned to the direction of an arrow A, and a rear end part 20b of the operation lever 20 is moved substantially in the horizontal direction of the direction of an arrow C. A connection cable 22 is pulled to turn a manual lever 58 of a manual switch 56 downwardly, i.e., to the elevator motion prohibition side. The operation of the elevator is prohibited thereby.
