PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire capable of securing vertical and lateral edge components and block rigidity and capable of improving on-snow driving stability, besides on-snow acceleration/braking performance. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 10 has a plurality of blocks 18 divided by rib grooves 14 extended in the circumferential direction of a tire and lug grooves 16 extended in the cross direction of the tire in a tread 12. The block 18 has a plurality of sipes inside thereof, and the sipes are formed of lateral sipes 22 practically in parallel wit the lug grooves 16 provided per a block and vertical sipes 20 practically in parallel with the rib grooves 14. The lateral sipe 22 is opened in at least one of the rib grooves 14 provided in both sides of the block 18, and the vertical sipe 20 is opened in only one of the lug grooves 16 provided in both sides of the block 18.
