PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm support for drawing detailed sections of an oil painting or the like by which drawing can be performed in such a manner that the hand may not touch a canvas surface when detailed section of the oil painting or the like is drawn. SOLUTION: On the top and the bottom of a canvas 4, a canvas receiver 2 for which a rail 3 is provided, and a canvas stopper 5 on which a rail 8 is provided are fitted, and the canvas stopper 5 is held by a canvas support 6 of an easel 1. In the rails 3 and 8, a sliding piece 9 or a groove pulley for the arm support 7 is fitted, and the arm support 7 is bridged, and the hand which holds a painting brush is placed on the arm support 7. When required, the arm support 7 is slid in the lateral direction for drawing pictures of detailed sections by the arm support for drawing detailed sections of the oil painting or the like.
