PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the amount of rice to be cooked, reduce uneven cooking even if changing the amount of the rice to be cooked and improve the taste in a rice cooker controlling the energization to a first heating means heating the bottom part of a pot and a second heating means heating the side part of the pot. SOLUTION: A rice cooker body 10 detachably stores the pot 12 for putting an object to be cooked therein, heats the bottom part of the pot 12 by an inner coil 13, heats the bottom side part of the pot 12 or the side part of the pot by an outer coil 14 positioned outside the inner coil 13, controls the energization to the inner coil 13 and the outer coil 14 by a control means and detects the temperature of the materials 19 to be cooked by the bottom sensor 16.
