STEAM WARMER

摘要

Steam warmer (1) including steam generation part (2) utilizing chemical energy, which when in contact with the body surface supplies steam. This steam warmer (1) when in contact with the body surface is capable of maintaining the temperature of the skin surface at 38 to 49°C for 3 to 15 hours and has the capacity of steam generation such that the cumulative amount of steam released is in the range of 0.5 to 5 mg/3hr cm<2>. This steam warmer (1) is used to improve the physiological function of human body. The steam generation part (2) is preferably a heat generation sheet obtained by impregnating a shaped sheet containing an oxidizable metal, a reaction accelerator and a fibrous material with an aqueous solution of electrolyte.
