<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that image quality is deteriorated by color difference generated between forward printing and backward printing when bidirectional printing is performed. <P>SOLUTION: If the bidirectional color difference is not suppressed, input data is used without modification as a normal input value of a γcorrection table 301 using a γ value, thereby performing γ correction by use of the γ value which does not suppress the bidirectional color difference. If the bidirectional color difference is suppressed, the value obtained by multiplying the input data by a coefficient K by a coefficient K multiplying unit 302 serves as an input value of the γ correction table 301, and the input value is subjected to γ correction by use of the γ value, which does not suppress the bidirectional color difference, and output. As a result, γ correction is carried out in the same manner as the case using the γ value obtained by multiplying the γ value, which does not suppress the bidirectional color difference, by the coefficient K, thereby reducing the adhering droplet amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
