<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information related with the reaction of a consumer in response to the change of the strategy variables of merchandise, and to acquire highly precise information while reducing the labor of an answerer at the time of acquiring information. <P>SOLUTION: A server stores two or more comparison objects and the standards of multi-stage strategy variables set for each comparison object. The two comparison objects are extracted, and high-order standards are assigned to those respective comparison objects, and the extracted pair of comparison objects and the assigned standards are displayed at a client terminal. One of those comparison objects is selected from the displayed pair of comparison objects, and the selection information is acquired, and stored in the storage part of a server. The one-step lower-order standard is assigned only to the non-selected comparison object based on the information acquired from the client terminal, and the same standard as the previous standard is assigned to the selected comparison object, and the pair of comparison objects and the assigned standards are displayed at the client terminal, and one of them is selected.
