<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform variable control of a control object continuously without requiring any extra input operation member. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal 100 where a lower case 202 is fixed slidably to an upper case 102 detects the open angle of the lower case 202 with respect to the upper case 102 and controls output, e.g. display, depending on that angle.
