PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery container surely holding a battery mainly used in a portable electronic instrument and to provide a remote control transmitter using the battery container. SOLUTION: The battery container 25 is constituted by mounting an intermediate electrode 23 coming in contact with a plurality of batteries 3A, 3B on a protruding part 22A of an intermediate part of a housing part 22 in a case 21 to individually hold the plurality of batteries with the intermediate electrode 23, and therefore, the projection of the battery is hardly generated, and surely holding is made possible.
