PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct color reproduction characteristics of a color image outputting device for an output image which is a target of the color reproduction, so that the deviation sensed by a person becomes smaller. SOLUTION: A color correction device 300 converts the color signal specific to the device supplied from a computer 101 to the color signal specific to image input/output devices 1021-1024. The color correction device 300 stores a reference space with the color information for a reference image as a characteristic value, and calculates a Mahalanobis distance from the reference space of color reproduction of a selected color image output device for correcting color reproduction characteristics of the color image output device according to the Mahalanobis distance.
