MULTI-LEVEL MODULATING METHOD, OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING APPARATUS, OPTICAL INFORMATION REPRODUCING METHOD, AND OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record and reproduce appropriate multi-level information by making a multi-level signal in which a DC component of a modulation signal is eliminated. SOLUTION: A multi-level signal in which a DC component of a modulation signal is eliminated is made and recorded in an optical disk by applying technology of guided scramble described in a recording system of multi-level information. Thereby, inserting a pit of position reference is not required, and recording density can be improved. Also, signal processing technology such as a turbo code can be applied by combining guided scramble and multi-level recording like the above. And not only variation of a low frequency component but also influence of random noise including high frequency components can be eliminated by applying the turbo code. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
