PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor capable of keeping security of data protection at a high level by executing a protective processing at the time of execution of user authentication. SOLUTION: In this data processor (digital composite machine 20), output processing and protective processing of data stored in a data storage part HD12 are executed, and when authentication data used in a user authentication for accepting a set for the protective processing are stored in an authentication data storage part (management part 14), the user authentication is performed. In this device, the execution of the protective processing is permitted or prohibited by an equipment control part 8 according to whether or not the authentication data are stored in the authentication data storage part.
